Introduction

At the International Society of Obstetrics Fistula Surgeons (ISOFS), we are committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of our visitors to our web site and subscribers to our newsletter. Here you will find information on how we treat data that we collect from visitors to our website, or when someone subscribes to our newsletter.

Visitors to our website

When someone visits www.isofs-global.org, we may use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor’s behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.

If we do want to collect personally identifiable information through our website, we will inform you about this before doing so. We will make it clear when we collect personal information and will explain what we intend to do with it.

 

Newsletter sign-up

All members, associate members, partners of ISOFS have already by implication, permitted us to keep certain personal information about themselves and have also permitted us to exchange official correspondence either by newsletter and other means. Any who do not want to receive the newsletter should notify the Secretariat via the email info@isofs-global.org.  

As part of the registration process for our quarterly e-newsletter, we collect personal information. We use that information for a couple of reasons: to tell you about things you have asked us to tell you about; to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information; to check and ensure that our records are right and to check every now and then that you are happy and satisfied with our services. We do not rent or trade collected email lists with other businesses and organisations.

We sometimes use a third party provider, PHPLISTS, to deliver our newsletter. We may gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor our e-newsletter as well as improve them. For more information, please see PHPLISTS privacy notice.

You can unsubscribe to general mailings at any time of the day or night by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails or by emailing info@isofs-global.org.

This privacy notice does not cover the links linking to other websites within this website. Those websites are not governed by this Privacy Notice, and if you have questions about how a website uses your information, you will need to check that website’s privacy statement.

You are entitled to view, amend, or delete any personal information that we hold. Email your request to info@isofs-global.org if the system restricts you from doing the changes yourself.

This Privacy Notice was last reviewed in May 2019. We will change this Privacy Policy from time to time and without notice.  We will always make sure that the most up to date Privacy Notice is posted on our website and you can check it out anytime you choose at the bottom of our website www.isofs-global.org. You may be notified of any new change as soon as they are made.

 

Refund Policy

ISOFS Membership Registration is done with some required payments and registrations are not complete if payments are not made. Payments are also renewed annually. We do not issue refunds once the order is accomplished and the membership is secured. A registered member has the freedom to discontinue future payments and that officially implies a denial of membership.

 

Payments for conference registration are not refundable.

 

As a member or customer you are responsible for understanding this upon purchasing any item at our website.

 

Payments for online resources and other materials owned by the International Society of Obstetric Fistula Surgeon are also non-refundable after transaction is completed except when the resource paid for is not delivered at the agreed period.

 

Please note that we depend on some online Commercial gateway for all online transactions, and that some tokens are charged as processing fees by these companies to effect such transactions. These fees vary depending on amount paid and time payment is made and you will be notified about the amount before you complete each transaction. They serve as intermediaries between you and us and our respective banks during transaction.

 

We realize that exceptional circumstance can take place with regard to the character of the product or services. For cases leading to dissatisfaction not mentioned above, ISOFS reserves the right to decide on refund where necessary.

 

 

In Summary, we DO honor requests for the refund on the following reasons:

  • Non-delivery of the product / Services: due to some mailing issues of your e-mail provider or your own mail server you might not receive a delivery e-mail from us. In this case, we recommend contacting us for assistance. Claims for non-delivery must be submitted to our Billing department in writing within two weeks from the date the order was placed. Otherwise the product will be considered received and downloaded;
  • Major defects: although all the products are thoroughly tested before release, unexpected errors may occur. Such issues must be reported directly to us through info@isofs-global.org. We are allowed to rectify the error or defect within 72 hours. If a defect is verified and we fail to correct it within 72 hours from the date of the initial complaint letter or any other notification provided by a customer, a refund will be issued in full without any compensations or reimbursements or an alternative option, like a product replacement or a store credit will be offered if preferred by customer.

 

  • Product or Services not-as-described: such issues must be reported to us within 14 days from the date of the purchase. Clear evidence must be provided proving that the purchased product or service is not as described on the product description page. Complaints which are based merely on the customer’s false expectations or wishes are not honored.

 

  • Please note that we do not bear any responsibility and therefore we do not satisfy any refund/return/exchange requests based on incompatibility of our products or services with some third-party products or services other than those which are specified as compatible in a description available on the preview page of each product or service. We do not guarantee that our products or services are fully compatible with any third-party products or services and we do not provide support for third-party applications.

Requests for a refund are accepted at www.isofs-global.org within the period of 2 weeks after the order is placed. However, we may respond earlier than this. You should accompany this request with detailed and grounded reasons why you apply for a refund. Please make sure your request does not contradict our Terms and Conditions.
A refund is issued to you upon receipt of a Waiver of Copyright signed by you.
